Nikon today introduced a new compact digital camera in the form of the Nikon Coolpix P7000. The 10.1-megapixel compact digicam features a large 1/1.7-inch CCD sensor with a 7.1x Wide Angle Optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED lens and a 5-Way VR Image Stabilization System, which utilizes a variety of tactics including optical lens shift to minimize the effect of camera shake. Additional features include a 3.0-inch LCD display and an optical viewfinder with a diopter adjustment dial. The Coolpix P7000 will be launched later this month for $ 499.95 to pop.
